Maintenance-free use, long service life, and, above all, high energy efficiency make LEDs the lighting system of the future. LEDs present specific requirements both on the energy supply as well as on control of dimming, for example. Operation requires special power supplies with constant current or constant voltage outputs. The brightness regulation is effected by a controller and dimming modules based on PWM.
